Fred is based on a childhood teddy bear I hold dear to. He means a lot of sentimental value to me. As a kid, I've always made this smiling red immortal doof a representation of 'happiness'. Not in a deity or super metaphorical way. All he does and say, is meant to spread joy to others and to himself.
He is also the rare tropical, grizz-tide. Unlike his other bear brothers, his kind come in bright fall-like coats. And are the closest to the sea! They swim the fastest (15 mph), they're pescatarian, and are one of the most jolly bear kinds. His light comes from a more simple presepctive, simply being happy! He leads with optimism and the hopes that the sun will shine better by doing whats right
BTW, he is my main and OFFICIAL mascot! You'll see more of him then his other friends
